I am home from the hospital after finishing round #3! I recorded this video update while in the hospital to give you a glimpse into what it’s like for those 3 days. After discharge, I began to experience symptoms of kidney distress. In consultation with the doctor I got on some medication to help break down the methotrexate faster and my symptoms have abated. I love the video, and the details (being a nurse) help me understand and see what you are going through.
Sleeplessness is a common side effect of treatment so praying you are getting your needed rest as well.
The verse from Psalm 4:8 comes to mind–I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makes me dwell in safety.
Praying as He watches over you, He is the shade you need. May you find comfort from the pain, and your sleep brings rest knowing He is your strength, shield, and Shepherd.

Your witness of glory to God through all of this is so beautiful. God has done such amazing miracles in your life Chris that I can’t help but expect it again.
May His protection be upon the whole family. May this be used to grow your children’s faith and their relationships with Christ Jesus in ways it may not have happened if there was not this hardship. In other words, may this very trying time be used for God’s glory and may He give you all the strength, joy, hope and faith needed to carry you faithfully through this and bring full healing to Chris.

God, You are Almighty and Sovereign God and we thank You for the sweet community You have surrounded the Hirts with. A community to come alongside them, encouraging them and lifting them up to You, our loving and giving Savior. Thank You for all You are doing in and through them, and for encouraging us through their faith journey. By faith, we thank You for healing, and for NEVER leaving their side. You are not only WITH them, but IN them, and they don’t have to be one minute without You, the lifter of their heads. AMEN!
