“So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

We are rejoicing and thankful for a successful biopsy appointment for Chris today.  The kind medical team offered Chris to have the procedure without sedation, just local anesthesia.  We were not expecting this offer and were happy to take it so his recovery would be easier.

We are rejoicing that I got some errands done today, since Chris’ procedure was shorter in length it left time for this.  We were not expecting this and so thankful for getting some things accomplished –  like getting my phone in working order for use in the US.

We are rejoicing for the generous help from so many.  Dinner with our neighbors (who also live in Thailand and have had their own cancer journey), loaned vehicles for the next 2 months, encouraging notes and financial gifts to help lighten the financial load of this journey.  We were not expecting all of these things!

We are rejoicing for the help we receive from Chris’ nurse.  We called her today and explained the increased pain and it became more clear that he is experiencing sciatica from the lymph nodes pressing on his nerves.  She ordered another medication that we hope will provide some relief from the pain he has.  It is unpredictable and all of a sudden very uncomfortable for him.  We were not expecting another medication, but we are so thankful for options to help make this more tolerable.

While we were not expecting these things God knew all along how he would provide for us.

Matt 10:29-31

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Thank you Lord for the sparrows we see flitting and flying during this beautiful Michigan day.  Thank you for your reminder of your care, our worth, and that we need not be afraid.
