Here is a short update
We ask for prayers
-for patience as we wait for appointments to be scheduled. For me (Becca), waiting for others in this process is part of the difficulty for me. The phrase “let’s get the show on the road” was a familiar one for me growing up…in this process there is nothing I can do from Thailand, besides prayer and trusting God, to help Chris get appointments. Chris is doing everything he can too. Now we must pray and trust God in the waiting.
-for openings for appointments, or as a friend said “divine appointments”
-for God’s protection for Chris, and all of us, from additional health concerns. The kids and I are getting tired. We are T-26 hours before we board a plane to Bangkok on our way out of Thailand.
The Lord has been so gracious. Over and over he has shown his love in countless ways, here are a few:
-A special friend helped me get my wedding ring fixed before we leave; it had split a month or so ago.
-I was able to get the bone marrow slides and biopsy sample with little to no difficulty, it was really a gift from the Lord, it was quick and without difficulty.
-Long time friends moved the Friday Night Dinner to Wednesday to give us a send off. We have attended these dinners for 13 years, this is what my kids look forward to every week, this is what they know, these are people they love.
-I’ve had enough space to get a massage…Thai massage is something I love about living in Thailand.
-food…I havn’t had to cook the last many days
-lovingkindness from the Lord as he has spoken through so many notes, prayers prayed, and kind words shared.
-a special night for Lucas’ graduation. He was voted “most likely to run a marathon”
-good times of connection with each child the last couple of days.
-peace from the Lord that my house doesn’t need to be perfect when we leave.
Thank you for holding us up at this time!
