Giving thanks

We thank God today for Chris’ safe arrival in Chicago, knowing he will be well cared for by our families while the kids and I are away.  He seemed to weather the flight well!

We thank God for his big and small gifts, all lovingly from him: last visits to the market to say goodbye to my faithful fruit and vegetable sellers, last bites of our favorite Asian treats, another meal from thoughtful teammates, four helpful hands that serve so generously, playtime with special friends (who may be gone when we return), church time at home, packing, sorting, getting ready to leave.

We thank God for you, the messages and prayers of so many.

Join us in prayer for

-the kids and I to love each other well through this last week with all the fun and challenges of the last week of school, especially when they know we will not return very soon.

-the up coming appointment with doctors on Monday (for energy for Chris to endure a busy week of changes)

-for me to remember the important details of this last week

-for Chris and I to be in good communication despite the distance and time differences.
