{"id":798,"date":"2026-05-29T21:14:29","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T01:14:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hirtfamily.net\/chris\/?p=798"},"modified":"2026-05-29T21:15:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T01:15:17","slug":"time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hirtfamily.net\/chris\/2026\/05\/29\/time\/","title":{"rendered":"Time"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time Capsule, Time Spent, Preparation Time, More Time &#8211; I&#8217;ve been thinking and talking to God about the significance of this moment, <em>this time<\/em>, that God has blessed me with, blessed us with.  We get the privilege and opportunity to go back to our Thailand home one more time, to say goodbye and do lasts together as a family in the place where our kids grew up.  Returning to our home, like opening a time capsule, is a mix of emotions and joys, remembering things and experiences that have already somewhat faded into memory.  Thank you Jesus, for one more time here in Thailand, and for 1 year of remission!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leaving and packing up our home in a matter of weeks will not be easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.<\/em>\u201d \u2015 A.A. Milne<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in the tears, I will remember that tough goodbyes mean it was well worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"1 year of remission!\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f-yMKTZd9_I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s a challenge for me and you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Where is God inviting you to be fully present instead of always looking ahead to what\u2019s next?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you investing your time in the people and priorities that matter most?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What unfinished conversations, expressions of gratitude, or acts of love should happen before this season ends?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If every day is a gift from God, what would it look like to steward today\u2019s gift more intentionally?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks again for walking with us on the journey!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pray along with us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you Lord for excellent scans and bloodwork from our trip to Chicago!  Chris&#8217;s treatment continues to stay the same through the next year, scans every 3 months along with medication to prevent recurrence.  Please pray with us that we will not have the same insurance challenges (two denials and our medical team advocating) which we had last December to continue with this medication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prayers for our kids, as they return to their normal in Thailand and find ways to say goodbye to people and places they have loved since their births.
