{"id":661,"date":"2025-08-05T17:23:38","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T21:23:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hirtfamily.net\/chris\/?p=661"},"modified":"2025-08-05T17:23:38","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T21:23:38","slug":"23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hirtfamily.net\/chris\/2025\/08\/05\/23\/","title":{"rendered":"23+"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">23+ years of commitment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">23+ years of devotion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">23+ years of love<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am so thankful for 23+ years of marriage with Chris, this past week we got to celebrate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marriage and relationships are hard work, or healthy marriages and good relationships take hard work.\u00a0 Even with hard work some do not always thrive after many years, so I see 23+ years of a growing relationship as another gift from the Lord.\u00a0 I&#8217;m thankful for the Lord\u2019s grace in our marriage, and from Him we can then extend that grace to one another and even further to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have a loving friend that often says, \u201cGrace to you\u201d, especially when an accident happens or something just doesn&#8217;t go the way one would prefer.&nbsp; It was and is a good model for me of love, both in relationships and marriage.&nbsp; We all need grace, even after 23+ years, probably even more so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chris continues to rev the engines of work, he was attending online conference\/meetings last week.\u00a0 Please pray for all of us in this transition.\u00a0 Emalene said with exasperation, \u201cHe is in another meeting??\u201d\u00a0 The past year has been overly full with transitions and this (he is in a new leadership role within language software technology and working fully from home) is another, and we are thankful for the good work he has and the health to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We ask for continued prayers for decisions ahead for our family, especially in terms of the impact on our children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We ask for increased health stability. Over the last 6 weeks at least one of us has been sick.&nbsp; We think we have found the source of Chris\u2019 cough and have started to address it, though he still has significant sinus drainage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">School starts in two weeks, the 25th.
